HOME LEARNING THIS TERM

Now that we have all settled back into school routines, and learning is well under way again, it is time to re establish home learning as well.

The expectations for our class' home learning are:
Practise basic facts: This term we are practising our times tables. Being able to recall our tables quickly helps solve maths problems efficiently. Focus on 2, 5 and 10 x then the rest. 


Reading to someone for at least 10 minutes: This helps with reading for accuracy and fluency. By reading a text more than once we get a better understanding of what we read. Please fill in the date, title of the text and sign each night Monday - Thursday. We have library on Thursdays so the children are encouraged to read their library book on Thursday nights. All reading logs are checked on Friday.

This week: We are making musical instruments on Friday. The children need to bring the materials they need to school by Thursday.
