End of Term Update

Week 10 is upon us!

Over the past few weeks we have been finishing our designs for  Owairaka t-shirts. Here are some of the results.

We inherited one of the sofas from the school office so we worked in groups to create a new layout plan for our class. We can choose where we want to work each day and can show manawanuitanga: persistence, resilience and a love of learning. Most of the class are very good at self-managing when working in our new layout. Feel free to pop in and see us at work this week. Here are some of the draft plans:

Our calendar art is now done. You can view it in our classroom until the end of this week. I will take photos during the week and upload the photos over the holidays. Your child will have brought home a notice about ordering calendars or diaries. Please hold onto this notice until we know the school code for ordering. Here are a couple of photos of our work in progress:
Blended warm and cool colours for our backgrounds.
Sketches showing the cityscapes for our printing blocks.

Have you checked out our maths website page?

We have our black and white themed disco on Friday morning. Please encourage your child to come dressed to celebrate the end of term.

School finishes at 2pm on Friday.

MAKING SLIME TOGETHER

Captions written by Palak, Carlos and Levi have been added to our photos.
This group are sorting out their jobs.

The boys are making  slime under the table tennis table.

Palak poured the cornflour into the bowl.

There is cornflour everywhere!

Dekovyn used a BIG spoon to stir his group's slime.

The slime is sticking to our hands

Too much water makes the slime runny.

The finished product.
