Week 9 - Friday

It's time to get outside and away from our screens.

I found some great scavenger hunts online and thought you might enjoy this neighbourhood one. Split your family into teams depending on how many phones you have. Give yourselves a time limit, e.g. an hour, to take photos of as many things on the list as you can. When you get home you can insert all your photos on google slides and share them with your other teams. Who took the most photos? Who took the best photos? Who took the wackiest photos? You might want to decide on a prize for the winners of each category before you leave the house.

The aim of the game is to leave the house and have some fun with your bubble.

Week 6 - Friday Fun Challenges

 Happy Friday everyone!!!

At our meeting this morning we were introduced to Elska's new bunnies. Elska and her family are still deciding on names so if you can think of names for Elska's new pets pop them in the comments below. She will let us know on Monday what they have decided on.

Did you know that baby rabbits are called kittens?

Thank you to our Class Meeting guests, Mrs Fletcher and Mr Pressnell, for reading to us today and to Miss Whysall and Miss Green who visited earlier in the week.

We have come to another weekend and the weather is perfect to go outside and play. Here are 3 activities from the Sport Auckland Stay Active grid for week 6 that I think you might like:

Don't forget to keep sending me photos of activities you are doing at home so I can add them to your Lockdown Activities slides.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Week 10 - Friday

Yesterday Room 21 had a Zoom meeting with Lizzy and Ngaio, educators from the zoo. We learned many things from our Q & A session. Did you know that there are 1400 animals at our zoo  and there are 200 people who work with and care for all those animals?,

Arnie shared a slideshow he created about the time he was a junior zoo keeper, a birthday present from his parents.

Check out the zoo website to check in on the animals or for learning more about the zoo.

Today is the last day of Term 3. Join Puriri Team this morning for our online assembly. You will receive the link in your email just before 10.30am.

Thank you to all of your parents for supporting our onliner learning over the past 6 weeks. Have a well deserved holiday and I will see you all next term.

Week 6 - Wednesday

Today's learning is all about our digestive system and how food travels through our body.
