ANZAC Remembrance

On Friday morning Puriri Team gathered at the Memorial Garden to commemorate ANZAC Day, which is during our holidays this year. Here are a few photos that were taken:

Pupuhi Nui Photos

The weather was on our side for this year's Puriri Pupuhi Nui (Puriri Team's Big Splash). The children were able to demonstrate what they had learned earlier in the year from the Swimstation instructors lessons. We were very impressed that so many of our children can stay afloat and stay safe in the water.

EOTC Photos

My apologies for the delay in getting these photos to you from our EOTC. I hope you enjoy talking to your children about their experiences. Photos include two activities from our day on Owairaka and the scavenger hunt.

Puriri EOTC

On Thursday we will be based at school and on Friday we will be walking up to Mt Albert for our activities.
Thank you all for returning your permission slips so quickly!! A note will be sent home to all parents who have offered to help support the children in their activities.
The weather forecast is for showers on Friday so please bring a raincoat and a change of clothes in case you get wet, as well as morning tea, lunch and water.
Both days take place between 9am and 3pm. All children are expected in class at 8.55am for roll call and instructions.
Have a great week!

Duffy Assembly

Today we were visited by Jack Tame, a TVNZ presenter on the Breakfast Show. Jack spoke about his experiences as a journalist and his love of reading.
On Friday we decorated our class' Duffy Books box with minions, suggested by Hiwatt, and today Jack presented it to us.
We will receive our Duffy Books next week, in time for our holiday reading.

HAPPY HOLIDAY READING EVERYONE!!
