Garden to Table Weeks 1 - 2

Our favourite part of Garden to Table so far this term? Eating the delicious food we have created!
While our kitchen crews have been cooking up a storm, the last two weeks, the garden crews have been tidying up the garden in front of our class and preparing the new garden beds on the field for planting. We learned that laying dead branches on the base of the beds will save on soil and the branches will rot over time. Clever idea!
If you are able to come along on a Wednesday and help out we would love your support. We have a few volunteers that help out in the kitchen but would love more. That's Harry's amazing grandmother helping Rajveer wash the dishes in our photo collage.
Click here for all the recipes for the wonderful food we have made. Let us know if you have tried them at home.

Week One Antics

Congratulations to everyone for reading during the holidays. We received a Duffy book for highly commended. Thank you to Fairy Judy for popping in and delivering our certificates and prizes.
It's very rare to have a visit from an orchestra so we were very privileged to have Clarence High School, from Australia, perform for us. They played for a whole hour and it was wonderful to see everyone focussed and interacting with them. Well done Room 21! The last photo is of the Time Warp.
