The children leaned about gravity and friction by designing their own marble runs.

The angle of the ramps affects the speed of the marble run by making it go faster or slower. They created friction by putting glue or sandpaper or bumpy paper on the track. Nearly everyone had to add barriers to the edges of the tracks to stop their marbles falling off.

ReplyDeleteI love your marble runs, must of taken a lot of cardboard boxes to make all of those! Were did you get all of the cardboard boxes from, and what gave you the idea to make marble runs? (I grow curious...)
