I have finally got my hands on "The Beast of Buckingham Palace", which has been sitting on my desk for the past 5 weeks!!

Sophia at School

Today was our first day at school for Sophia. Most of Sophia's day was spent doing activities on our blog. Her favourites are Typing Club and Splash Maths. Sophia's brothers were able to sit with her at the same table but everyone else had to be 1 metre apart when they were inside. Sophia played handball with her brothers when they were outside this afternoon.

PHILLY'S BIRDHOUSE

The birdhouse, on last week's CHOICE SHEET, caught my attention.

I have been busy decorating my birdhouse made with a recycled Xmas cookie container, recycled plastic Easter egg for the feeder, leaves, twigs,  branches, and nest found on my walk with  Mum in Owairaka Park. 

I have spent wonderful days bird watching using  my binoculars and testing my data to find out which feed is most popular to put inside my bird feeder.

Finally the birdhouse  is hung dangling outside next to my bedroom window so I can see if a bird would be kind enough to come and make it their home and hopefully it will also leave their eggs there too! Let's see what happens?

Kia ora koutou and welcome to another week of Learning From Home.

Over the last few  weeks lots of you have shared what you have been doing during Level 4 Lockdown. Please keep sending photos (with descriptions), writing, recipes, etc so that the rest of our class can keep up to date with what you are doing at home.
A few things to note:

• The "Learning From Home Activities" page has been changed slightly. All the activities have been put onto slides so you don't have to keep scrolling down the page. You can enlarge, pause and move forward or backwards on the slides using the tools on the bottom. I have added a few more activities  and links too. If there is something you would like me to add please email or add a comment below.
• Maths Problem Solving - these are on a slideshow in the "Learning From Home Activities" folder. Problems are on one slide and the answers are on the next. This week I have added Problems #5 and #6. The answers for these pages will be posted on Friday.
• A "Matific Help Page" has been set up to help those children who are having trouble with the challenges. Please let me know if you have technical issues with the screencastifies I have made.
