Week 3 Happenings

Kia orana! This Week was Cook Island Language Week. As part of our Reading tumble we found out about the Cook Islands and we created brochures to share some of the information we learned. Here are the slides (or link)  we used to research for our brochures. We will be bringing our brochure home this week.

Every Friday after lunch we spend some time with our buddy class, Room 11. These photos were taken at the end of Week 2 when we visited Room 10's classroom.

Every Monday morning we learn about our school values. Over the last week we have reminded ourselves about using kind words in the playground and the classroom as well as using quiet voices inside and always using our manners.

We have also be been practising using quiet voices and moving with care when we leave our classroom and move around the school. We do not want to disturb others who are working.
It's always wonderful to see our classmates receive awards at the School Assemblies. Well done to Josh, Frances, Sophia, Kato and Annie for the School Assembly awards.

The Winter Netball programme has started at Windmill Park. Coco and
Emma are playing in the Year 4 Stars Team this year. It's fantastic to see so many of our class playing Winter sports.

Week 4 is Maths Week. Thank you Room 16 for the reminder!
