Wiki Wha

It has been so good to return to school and see everyone's smiling faces.

We have been trying hard to follow the Level 2 expectations and routines such as sanitising or soap when entering the class.

Unfortunately 3 of our swimming lessons with the coaches have had to be postponed but we did manage to have 2. Here are a few photos from Friday when we got to use the lifejackets.

This week we also started the 21 Day Challenge. You would have seen the two posts from Tuesday and Wednesday. For the next few weeks we will continuing with the challenge, learning about how we can be kaitiaki for the Hauraki Gulf. We will learn about the different creatures that inhabit the moana, the issues they face and how we can help. One of the #1 ways we can be kaitiaki is by picking up rubbish we see on the ground so it doesn't go down the drain and into our harbour. Lots of the class have started picking up rubbish at and around their homes. Each day I will be asking how many pieces of plastic were picked up. Any photos you send will be added to our slideshow I will upload next week. Can you guess who this is picking up rubbish?

On Friday Miss Green visited the class and taught us the Kawa of Care for using our Chromebooks. We have now all signed our contracts and logged onto our Chromebooks with our new passwords. We can't wait to get started on Monday!

Reminders for this week:
  1. Class swimming is on Tuesday & Thursday
  2. Lunchtime swims are on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
  3. Library is every Thursday
  4. All reading logs are due on Friday for checking
Have a wonderful week,
Ngā mihi
