PHILLY'S UPDATE FOR LEVEL 2
I would like to share my favourite animal which I made up with combining UNICORN with SHEEP =UNISHEEP( first photo)
The horns is the unicorn part, and the sheep part is the body. I added a CAPE to make him look like a super HEROE.
I also started making UNISHEEP some friends using rocks from my garden and also with clay/ice block sticks a bed, and a mushroom stool for his use, then I created his friend the BUNNIE.
I will make some other details as I go along.
Hope you like my creation.

HARRY'S MEGATRON PROBLEM
Have you been doing the Maths problems on our "Learning From Home Activities" page at the top of our blog?
Harry emailed me this message this morning:
In question number 5 the transformer Megatron would not cost $38 I think it would be $99 or $100.
I have written a transformer problem for the blog for people to solve. It is a transformers cyberverse toy.

PHILLY'S LATEST UPDATE
Here is Philly's latest update of her learning that she has been doing at home with her Mum.
AD ASTRA *****'to the Stars'*****
Philly loves" Space "and had loads of fun constructing her rockets made of recycled paper towel roll, wooden chopsticks and plastic bottle.
With the help of Marina the dog and project accomplished it was time to go out and test if it would launch from the launching pad // using vinegar, water and baking soda! Sadly for Marina she cannot fit the space craft …….ooooh nooooh
CATAPULTING NAKED EGG-!!!-….oooh la la
Philly loves making this experiment, and has done it many times because she wanted to test how long the egg could last without bursting, so after bouncing, throwing and finally catapulting it with her home made catapult, Blaaaht, the egg finally gave up!!Woooooh, it was fuuuunn!!
CASA FOR MARINA DOG....."woof woof"
Finally to finish off this week, Marina deserved her reward----a new bed! a new mattress! What a spoilt doggie WOGGIE!!
So quickly some left over toitoi branches and cardboard for the base and headboard, measured and glued together with the gun glue, and mattress made with a big plastic bag stuffed with more recycled plastic bags and boy that bed was a hit. Marina went quickly for a well deserved rest!

JOSH'S LEVEL 3
Josh and Eva did the PH experiment today with red cabbage liquid. Some amazing colours!
Now we’re in level 3 we’ve been enjoying biking around western springs. We’ve seen a lot of baby birds there. Josh and Eva managed to quietly gain the trust of the swans and fed the signets very close. They fed them frozen veges (peas corn and carrot) and rolled oats.
Josh has also enjoyed spotting other animals. His favorite being the rabbits. We’d never seen any there before but there seems to be quite a few. At least one black fluffy one. And some more wild looking grey ones. We stop to look at the eels when we cross the bridges too.
He’s also found rats and mice there. And we can see the elephants at the zoo through the fence.

BUSY LUCY
Lucy has been busy making cupcakes in her mock business called Candy Rush. These are Sprinkle Surprise: she used an apple corer to remove a segment in the middle of each her freshly baked cupcakes, filled it with sprinkles and then iced them so no one knew there was a crunchy surprise inside.
She also built a cool hut and read books all morning with Neena and Marcus.
She is looking forward to coming back to school and seeing everyone.

HOME LEARNING CHOICE BOARD #5
Here is this week's Choice Board. There are some great activities on this week's board. I wonder how many of you could tidy your bedroom and send me a photo.
If you choose to investigate traditional Maori medicine, Rongoa Maori, check out this site that gives you information about the particular plants. Some of these plants are in our rongoa garden at school. Do you have someone in your whanau that knows about Rongoa?

PAPIER MACHE PIG
I have finally finished my paper mache pig. It has been a collaborative piece of artwork between myself and my 4 year old grand daughter. She helped me with some of the gluing, most of the painting and she stuck the googling eyes on. I must say that we are both proud of our finished product.
DAYELLE'S BIRDHOUSE
Harper, dad and I did a little birdhouse out of ice cream sticks. We placed it by the roadside and put heaps of bread in it for the birds to eat. Here are some pics of us making it. It was super fun.
