I have finally finished my paper mache pig. It has been a collaborative piece of artwork between myself and my 4 year old grand daughter. She helped me with some of the gluing, most of the painting and she stuck the googling eyes on. I must say that we are both proud of our finished product.
Mrs Mudgeway you piggy bank looks amazing, papier mache requires lots of patience! Last year the children in Room 11 made piggy banks like this for the Art Exhibition.
ReplyDeleteGreat colour too! Cutie!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mrs Haines. We used paper towels and PVA glue for our mache. Harlow chose the colour, she loves pink!
ReplyDeleteI love your pink paper mache pig! I really like it's cute tail! If you use it as a money box, do you need to break it to get the money out?!
ReplyDeleteYes we will have to break it to get the money out but that's okay because it's going to take her a couple of years to fill it up with 50 cent coins.
DeleteThat is amazing I'm going to ask Dad if we can make 1
ReplyDeleteAll you need is a balloon, masking tape, egg carton, milk bottle top, newspaper or paper towels and glue. I have used flour & water paste before and it works well too but takes a bit longer to dry. Have fun with it!
